Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Therefore we worship Him and relate personally to Him as One who is both like us, (He suffered, was tempted, and struggled to follow the Father), and wholly unlike us – (the perfect and powerful Creator God of the Universe), and we seek to make Christ visible (incarnating him) in our broken world, taking risks to sacrifice our comfort, willingly enduring rejection and ridicule, all for the purpose of showing people what God is like, and we wait for His arrival with anticipation and expectancy, and we work diligently to make His way of justice, grace, mercy, kindness, peace, and forgiveness visible here on earth.
